Did you ever get a brilliant idea while you were in the bathroom? 

In March 2005 the idea for NittanyWeddings.com came to Kerri Smith in a revelatory moment in the privacy of her bathroom.  She immediately wrote down a rough plan, called Christine Hart to partner with her - and the rest is what you see today.  Many months of research, planning and asking questions brings you this website and the wedding planning component of Nittany Weddings. 

Kerri received confirmation on the idea when her sister-in-law was trying to plan her State College wedding from her home in Chicago.  She was frustrated because there was nothing on the Internet that provided a complete and reliable directory of businesses in the Centre Region.  Since then, Christine and Kerri have heard over and over again from brides, their families and businesses, that this website can help bridge the online communication gap in State College between businesses and the brides that need them. 

At Nittany Weddings, our goal is for this website to be THE resource that you'll go to when you need anything related to your wedding.  With your help and feedback, we can continually improve and enhance the site to bring you what you need.

After performing as a musician and singer in over three dozen weddings, being in the bridal party, and being the star of her own wedding, Kerri brings to you valuable firsthand experience.  She and her husband, Christian, are the brains behind the website.  Kerri's focus for the past several years has been sales and marketing - specifically, selling website content management software.  Her other sales experience plus a B.S. in Business/Communications can give your business the edge you need to succeed in the Centre Region.

Christine was a founding partner at NittanyWeddings.com and has recently branched out to focus on her own wedding planning/consulting business.  
 
Christine was one of those little girls who always dreamed about weddings - her own wedding, her sisters' weddings, any wedding where the bride was the princess!  Those dreams have stayed with her and founded her desire to be a wedding planner.  Christine has several years of experience in office management and now serves as a sales manager for a local business.  She has also served as a manager for a bridal boutique which included gown fitting and consulting.  Her combined passion for weddings and business experience make Christine an excellent resource in planning your wedding.
